Fetal Pig Dissection Guide

fetal pigThis laboratory guide  includes instructions for the dissection of the fetal pig.  Students follow the descriptions of the organs and use other resources to locate them on their specimen.  Students label diagrams of the pig showing the digestive system, urinary, reproductive and circulatory system.

This is considered a more advanced dissection than the frog and is reserved for honors students in biology.

Unlike the frog,  this dissection focuses on veins and arteries, so it is best to order double-injected fetal pigs.
