Introduction to the Microscope - Home Version

This page is for use with the virtual microscope lab where students must learn the parts of the microscope and practice focusing on scanning, low and high power. For students that were unable to complete the lab in class, this page can be used as a substitute for learning the parts of the microscope and how the "e" slide appears at each of the 3 magnifications.

Part A. Examine the Microscope

From the photos, you can see the main parts of the microscope that will be used to mount and focus a slide on the microscope stage.
