Create a ZooBook

Goals:

1. Create a book that showcases animals belonging to major classes of organisms.
2. Compare and contrast animals belong to different taxonomic groups.
3. Establish main characteristics associated with a taxonomic group.

Instructions:

As a group, you will research a set of animals. Your booklet will contain individual pages of different animals organized on a graphic organizer. You may choose one from the following sets. You may wish to assign members of your group to particular ORDERS. The book will include pages specific to the order and then four pages that compare and contrast two groups within the CLASS.

Book Should Include

1. A cover and title page (including the names of all group members)
2. A completed page of each animal on the list bound into a folder or binder

Page should include the following information:

• Description of the group that illustrates how the group is different from other groups within the class
• 1-3 species found within each group
• Geographical information about where the group is found
• Any interesting facts that apply to the group
• At least one photo of an animal in that group

Imagine how the zoo displays information about animals in their exhibits, your pages should be similar
