Light Bulb Exploration

In this lab, you will be given a battery, a small light bulb, and aluminum foil. By experiments, you will develop a working understanding of how the battery and bulb must be connected so that the bulb will light.

Question: How can we get the bulb to light using the equipment provided?

Equipment: Batteries (D cells work best), Light Bulbs (flashlight size),  Aluminum Foil, Masking Tape

Try different arrangements. Use a drawing to show one arrangement that did NOT work, and one arrangement that did work.
