Introduction: This simulation, you
have variables to manipulate, data to gather, and must synthesize the data to
determine the answer to the experimental question. When you open the simulator
(link above), you should note that you can manipulate the color of the light,
the light level (intensity) and the amount of C02 in the water.
Experimental question: How is the
rate of photosynthesis influenced by light color, CO2 levels, and light intensity?
Title: a brief,
concise, yet descriptive title
Hypothesis:
* Write a
prediction or predictions.
* Make sure the prediction is a complete sentence.
* Make sure the statement is testable.
Materials and Procedure
* Briefly describe
how you will test the hypothesis (include a reference to the simulator)
Results (Data):
* This section
should include any data tables, observations, or additional notes
you make during the lab.
* All tables, graphs and charts should be labeled appropriately. (Use
print screen if you like)
* Attached graphs are acceptable.
Conclusions:
* Accept or
reject your hypothesis.
* EXPLAIN why you accepted or rejected your hypothesis using data
from the lab.
* Include a summary of the data - averages, highest, lowest..etc to
help the reader understand your results
* List one thing you learned and describe how it applies to a real-life
situation.
