Two Point Discrimination Test 1. Test the sensitivity of an area of skin (like the back of the hand) with the tip of a paper clip.
2. Twist the paper clip so that you have two points. Now test to see at what distance (in mm) that subject can detect that there are two points instead of one. Make sure that your test subject does not look when you are conducting the test.
3. Alternately, you can use an index card to make several test points using thumbtacks.
