Common Core Tips – Literacy in Science
This article is going to focus on common core standard 2, which states “Determine the central ideas or conclusion of a text; summarize complex concepts, processes, or information presented in a text by paraphrasing them in simpler but still accurate terms”. Strategies for the classroom teacher are included to help implement this standard and modify existing resources to facilitate science and technical literacy.
