Responsibilities

1. Biology is a very difficult course in the amount of reading and memorizing of terms, you are expected to keep up with the reading and take notes everyday.

2. You should always have your homework turned in at the beginning of class. If you turn it in later, even during the class period you will get a late deduction (20% off).

3. Many of the assignments and projects in this class are group work. You are expected to do your share of the work. If I observe that you are not doing your share, you may be removed from your group and required to do the project by yourself - this is only fair for those that are really doing the work.

4. Do not whine or complain about assignments, projects or taking notes. As a high school student (an institute of "higher learning"), you're going to be expected to learn a wide variety of topics. The goal of the school is to give each student a well-rounded education so that they may be successful after graduation, whether that means going to college or getting a job.

5. Stay organized. The volume of information and handouts you'll have in high school is tremendous. You are expected to keep track of your own assignments, be prepared for tests, and know important due dates. The school has provided you with an Agenda Book to help you here. Use it!

6. Personal business, such as phone calls, restroom visits and other things should be conducted during your passing times and lunch periods. Do not expect teachers to give you passes to do these things.
